A DAY of free advice about jobs, housing and legal issues has been organised for vulnerable people.
The Come and Go day has been organised by Enfield Connect, a charity that provides advice and support to its 200 Enfield clients needing help to keep a roof over their head.
Many of them have drug and alcohol problems and mental health issues.
Joining the event, on Monday July 27, will be recruitment agency Reed in Partnership, council housing and benefits advisers, Jobcentre advisers, and representatives of Rugby House, which supports drug and alcohol dependent clients, police officers and Citizens Advice Bureau staff.
Activities will include face painting, a raffle, competitions and games, as well as a spread of African and Caribbean dishes for lunch.
The event will be held at Edmonton Methodist Church on Fore St, Edmonton.
Enfield Connect manager Ola Adebayo said the event was designed for existing clients but said: “If a vulnerable person was walking past and wants to come in we are not going to turn them away.”
