VISITORS to The Intimate Theatre this week will be transported back to the 1970s.
Musical comedy Disco Inferno is running until Sunday at the Palmers Green theatre, at 521 Green Lanes.
Set in the year 1976, 'Disco Inferno' follows the story of Jack, an ordinary man who achieves rock star greatness by selling his soul to the devil, who is called Lady Marmalade.
Performed by the Saint Monica's Players, Enfield's amateur dramatic society, 'Disco Inferno' will feature over 26 musical numbers, including 70's classics Play That Funky Music White Boy, Streetlife, Starman and Spirit in the Sky.
Sain Monica's Player Emma Taylor said: “We really wanted something new and fun, and Disco Inferno is all of those things." The musical was written by Justin Sepple, and has a cast of 32, meaning a large collection of 70s clobber had to be found.
"You can expect to see some pretty cheesy costumes", said Ms. Taylor.
"There will be flares, fros and massive shoes. Anything big and 70's, we have it."
