A school in Enfield was one of five schools to compete for the Young Enterprise's Best Company Award in Canary Wharf last week.
Latymer School, in Haselbury Road, Edmonton, presented its company, called Spin Doctor, which sold fashion items made from recycled products.
The team was the finalist for the north London region and won awards for Best Display Stand and the Daily Telegraph New Media Award.
The overall winner of the competition was St Charles Catholic Sixth Form, from Kensington, whose company GLOBE produced books with stories from around the world.
Each company in the competition elected a board of directors, raised share capital, market, finance and then sold their product and services throughout their communities with support from local businesses and teachers.
Michele McKendry, director of Young Enterprise London, said: “We are so proud and really impressed with all of this year’s achievers.
"Young Enterprise cultivates a sense of healthy competitiveness in young people.”
Young Enterprise London has worked with almost 90,000 students in the past year, providing an opportunity to learn about business and entrepreneurship, as well as gain insight from professionals.
