A LORRY fire forced a section of the M25 to be closed this morning.

The motorway is shut anticlockwise between Junction 25, Enfield, and Junction 24, Potters Bar.

The exit slip anticlockwise at the A111 is also closed.

Traffic is queuing for 13 miles as recovery work by emergency services takes place.

With two lanes closed, heavy congestion is being reported all the way back to the Romford turn-off at Junction 29.

The Highways Agency is reporting delays of up to one-and-a-half hours. Normal traffic conditions are not expected to return until 11.30am.

There are also 15-minute delays reported on the clockwise section between Junctions 23 and 25.
