THE Highways Agency has reopened one of the lanes on the M25 which was closed after a lorry caught fire this morning.
There is now one lane closed anticlockwise between Junction 25, Enfield and 24, Potters Bar.
Queues are currently stretching past Junction 26 but traffic is relatively free-flowing past Junction 27.
Spokesman for the agency, James Wright, said: "We've reopened the lane within the last ten minutes, although it will take a little while to have an effect."
The motorway was closed completely between Junction 25 and 24 after the lorry caught fire around 7.20am.
Later the clockwise carriageway was opened but two lanes remained closed anticlockwise.
But the closure stil caused delays of up to two hours and queues as far as Junction 29 to Brentwood.
