ENFIELD'S junior sportspeople came sixth in last weekend's London-wide Youth Games.
The team of youngsters competed against 27 boroughs at the games, held at the London South Bank University's Techno Park, in south London.
Our youngsters came first overall in mixed fencing, female disability athletics and angling, second in male disability athletics and third in disability swimming and male athletics.
There were 38 activities overall, ranging from rugby to rowing and gymnastics.
Those who took part also got the chance to meet three of Team GB's medal-winners from the Beijing Olympics: Bradley Wiggins, Mark Hunter and Christine Ohuruogu.
In total more than 27,000 young people took part between the ages of seven and 17.
Enfield Council's co-director of education, children's services and leisure Neil Rousell congratulated all those who took part.
He said: “It was amazing that Enfield finished sixth across London. It was a great, great day.”
