ENFIELD’S Parkinson’s Disease Society is 40 years old this year and a garden party is being held to celebrate.
The party will be held between 10am and 4pm today at St Andrew’s Church, behind the market square in Enfield Town.
As well as highlighting the work the society does, there will be tombola, cake stands and other stalls.
Society volunteer, Helen Balisson said: “Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate with us and all the money raised will go towards helping people with Parkinson’s get together at our weekly coffee mornings and go on outings.
“The members are all wonderful and many are elderly. Our oldest member is in her 90s and comes to every meeting.”
Entrance is a nominal 50p and Enfield North MP Joan Ryan is expected to attend.
