A WORKSHOP on beating unemployment by gaining skills was attended by 150 people last week.
Over 150 people, 50 of whom were unemployed, met council advisers offering practical tips on ways into work and money management at ArtZone in Edmonton Shopping Centre on Thursday.
Writing an eye-catching CV and starting a business were among the topics covered as well as benefits advice, volunteering and finding free training courses.
Cllr Michael Lavender, cabinet member for employment said: “This event gave really important advice for anyone who is trying to find employment in these current difficult economic conditions.”
