ENFIELD is playing its part in this weekend’s 2012 open event by helping the public to trace its family history.
The Local Studies search room at Thomas Hardy House, London Road will be open on Saturday July 25 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Visitors can get free access to popular genealogy websites, ‘Ancestry’ and ‘Find My Past’, which usually incur a fee, in the Local Studies search room.
Staff will be on hand to help with research into family history.
The London 2012 Open Weekend is part of the countdown to the London 2012 Games, and is one of the cultural events that will take place.
There is also a display of memorabilia from Tottenham Hotspurs and Enfield Town Football clubs from the collections of the archive and Enfield Museum on the ground floor of Thomas Hardy House.
