THE ELDERLY widow who died on Friday after being hit by a lorry was named as Ada Hepplewhite.
Tragically, Mrs Hepplewhite, 88, who is known to have a son, Clive, was crossing Church Street in Enfield Town near a pedestrian crossing with a shopping trolley when the incident happened.
The Costa Coffee lorry involved stopped at the scene and no arrests were made.
She was taken to the Royal London Hospital but died on Sunday 19 July from her injuries.
A post-mortem examination took place at Hornsey Mortuary on Wednesday 22 July and gave cause of death as multiple injuries.
DS Abi Lambkin, leading the investigation from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Church Street is a particularly busy shopping area and there would have been a lot of people out and about at the time of the collision. We understand from witnesses that Ada was trying to cross the road away from a designated crossing point at the time of the incident. I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident to contact our incident room."
