CHILDREN have every excuse to go out to play today - it is National Playday.
The day is a national campaign marking an annual celebration of children's right to play.
To mark the occasion in Enfield, the council has arranged to lay on a free day of fun in Enfield Town Park, in Cecil Road, Enfield.
Bouncy castles, arts and crafts, a dance workshop, face painting, play activities, games, a balloon race, a children's disco and under fives play area run by a local nursery will all be available for free.
Play development manager, Ricky Williams, said: "At heart we are all children and love to play – and it is one of the best ways to learn, enjoy the company of the young and have some fun."
