MORE swine flu collection points have been set up in Enfield to cope with demand.

There are now seven collection points in the borough where people can collect drugs for people with the disease.

The Government is now advising people who think they have swine flu symptoms to visit www.direct.gov.uk/pandemicflu or telephone 0800 1 513 100.

Only pregnant women, anyone with a serious underlying illness and parents of children under the age of one should contract their GP.

Anyone diagnosed with the virus will be given an authorisation number to get free Tamiflu antivirals but they should nominate a "flu friend" to get the drugs on their behalf.

Only at this stage will the locations and opening times of the collection points be revealed by the Government's National Pandemic Flu Service.

Flu friends need to take two forms of ID with them, one for the patient and one for themselves.

Enfield's director of public health, Dr Shahed Ahmad, said there may be a wait for the medicne but urged people to be "calm and patient."
