AN Enfield rap trio got to perform at an American football team game in Finsbury Park Stadium yesterday afternoon.

Relentless Crew – RC for short - performed at a match between London Blitz football team and Coventry Jets.

The group is made up of K-O (Steve Kaye), Castro (Daniel Castro) and Odin (Kyle Howard), all 24 and from Palmers Green and Southgate.

They performed a song called Warriors of Gridiron, which pays tribute to their sporting heroes in American football.

Mr Kaye, a personal trainer from Southgate, said: “This is the second time we performed at the stadium and it was a great atmosphere.

“I don’t really get nervous about shows but I never like waiting for us to go on.

“We’ve just finished the recording of the song about three weeks ago and we now have enough tracks to complete an album, which we should be releasing shortly.”

The group has secured their dream gig at the UK version of the Superbowl, called the Britbowl, at Doncaster Stadium, on September 26 and 27.

Mr Kaye added: “We are all such big fans of American football and have sometimes stayed up for games that last until five in the morning.

“There are about 50 American football teams in this country and as it’s so new to people it needs a little more promotion but it’s a great sport to watch with the family.

“The US team I support is the San Diego Chargers as I saw them at Wembley Stadium last year and they played really well. The game is harder than rugby as it can be a lot tougher and that’s why players have all the uniform to protect them.

“Apart from being able to perform our songs it made the experience even better to be at a game and we are really looking forward to performing for the two days of the Britbowl.”
