Enfield golfer James Taverner enjoyed a memorable win at the second of three events in the Faldo Series.
Taverner finished with a three-under-par score of 69 in the prestigious competition at Woburn Golf Club.
The 19-year-old produced some fine golf and ended the round four shots clear of his nearest rival.
Golfers from all over the south of England were in action. British favourite Nick Faldo established the competition in 1996 to identify and nurture the next generation of champion golfers in Europe.
The series is aimed at golfers under the age of 21.
u Enfield Golf Club junior John Fernandes is through to the regional final of the Weetabix Golf Foundation competition.
He posted an amazing two-over gross round of 74 to win the U13 qualifying competition on home soil.
He broke the 80 barrier for the first time with some superb golf.
The grand final of the competition will take place at Marriotts in the Forest of Arden on August 16 and 17.
u Enfield duo Martin Porter and Joey McAuliffe, and Crews Hill pair Neil Wichelow and Roman Prychidko, are through to the next stage of the Lombard Trophy, Europe's biggest pro-am competition.
They won their clubs' qualifying competitions and play in the regional final next month.
The winners of 16 regional finals throughout Great Britain and Ireland will enjoy a luxury trip to compete in the final at the Ocean Course, Vale do Lobo, Portugal, in September.
