TWO knives and four other potential weapons were seized when cadets conducted a sweep of an Enfield park.
The Enfield Volunteer Police Cadets took part in the sweep of Pymmes Park on December 5, along with regular officers, and recovered the potential weapons, one of which was a screwdriver.
The sweep came three weeks after an Enfield Council worker found seven knives including a ten inch machete in Durants Park.
Detective Superintendent Simon Laurence, in charge of crime and operations, said they are aware weapons are often concealed in places like parks, and added: “The recovery of these weapons demonstrates our commitment to reducing knife crime on the borough.”
