CHILDREN in an Enfield hospital received an early Christmas present when Spurs stars visited them for the day.
Striker Jermain Defoe and defenders Younes Kaboul and Benoit Assou-Ekotto went to Rainbow Ward at North Middlesex University Hospital to hand out Christmas gifts to children who would have to spend the festive season as an in-patient.
It has become an annual traditional for the club to visit sick local children and hand out presents paid for out of money the footballers pay in fines each year.
England international Jermain Defoe said: "It's an important time of year for families and being stuck in a hospital isn't a nice experience at Christmas for anyone.
“I'm in a privileged position to be able to help a little by making some young children a bit happier and I'm delighted to be able to do so.”
