ENFIELD residents enjoyed the snow and struggled on the roads in equal measures this weekend as the borough turned white.

Residents woke up on Saturday morning to heavy snowfall, coating landscapes and making the roads potentially perilous to travel on.

One motorist came unstuck in Hadley Road, apparently losing control and rolling into a ditch at around 1.30pm on Saturday.

Reader Iain Lyall took this photo of the stricken car, and said when he went to help, the driver said he was fine and had just lost control on the icy road.

Mr Lyall himself had to abandon his own car in a side road and walk around three miles across Trent Park to make it home.

Meanwhile, Andria Sergiou sent us a photo of her three boys, Luke, Theo, and Mario building a giant snowman outside of their Edmonton home.
