ENFIELD school pupils have been selected to provide the art work for two MPs' festive Christmas cards.
Andy Love, Labour MP for Edmonton, chose six-year-old Louiza Nemer's design for his official card this year, and presented her with an art set and a framed copy of the card last week.
Mr Love has held a Christmas card contest every year since 1997, when he became an MP, and this year the contest drew in more than 1,700 entries from 14 schools in his constituency.
He said, when meeting Louiza at Hazelbury Infant School: “It’s a great, colourful design and very relevant given the recent snow we’ve had.
“Louiza’s only six so she’s clearly a very talented artist and her family and class are very proud of her, and I am too.
“I know that I’ll enjoy sending out my Christmas cards with Louiza’s fun picture on them.”
Similarly, Enfield Southgate MP David Burrowes has enlisted the help of two of his young constituents to design his festive card.
Eloise Angel from Oakthorpe School, in Palmers Green and Harry Patros, of St Paul's CE School, in Winchmore Hill were declared the winners of his official competition.
Their designs will displayed in his offices in Enfield and Parliament, and both Harry and Eloise will be invited to a Christmas Children's Party by the Lord Mayor of London in the New Year.
