A MOTORCYCLIST has died after crashing in Edmonton this morning.

The 57-year-old man, who has not been named, came off his Honda motorbike after colliding with a silver Nissan Micra in Meridian Way.

Police closed the road after the crash, which happened just after 1am, and the man was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Micra was arrested and questioned, but has since been released without charge.

Officers from the Met's Collision Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath are looking into the causes of the crash this morning.
