MOTORISTS are being warned of icy roads and freezing temperatures as many Enfield resident s look to get away for Christmas.
The Met Office is predicting sub-zero temperatures throughout the festive period, and warns of widespread icy roads and potentially treachurous driving conditions.
Gritters in Enfield and across the UK were out last night to try to limit the disruption caused by another night of adverse weather.

The BMI Cavell Hospital, in Enfield, has a special winter injuries clinic, and has braced itself for an influx of people admitted due to falling on icy pavements and roads.
It has issued a list of tips for residents to avoid injuring themselves during Christmas this year.
