While walking through Church Lane in Enfield I reached the gate that leads into St Andrews churchyard. I was so pleased and impressed with what I saw — a group of boys from Enfield Grammar School patiently and politely standing by the gate generously and selflessly letting everyone go through before themselves, including myself.
I said “Thanks lads” and in today’s society, when kids get such a bad press, I thought it deserved a mention.
And, as an ex-Enfield Grammar boy myself, I was very pleased to see the very high standards still going strong. Manners cost nothing after all.
Well done boys, keep up the good work.
