CHILDREN got kitted out in sea-themed fancy-dress for a sponsored walk to raise money for a pre-school charity last week.
Staff and toddlers at St Peter's Church pre-school group in Langham Gardens decorated the church hall with an under-the-sea theme and spent Friday walking so that the centre can afford an outdoor play set for the summer.
Manager Lori Lee said: “The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and so did the staff – we were here until 1am the night before preparing.
“We are a charity group and everything we do we have to raise funds for ourselves through fun activities for the children.”
The centre, opened in 1978, caters for 72 children and runs two pre-school sessions a day.
