FUNDRAISERS held a live music night last weekend to raise money for a North London hospice.
More than 180 people took part in the Rock Til Ya Drop event at St George's Parish Hall in Hertford Road which combined music with a raffle and food donated by local businesses.
The twice-yearly event, which raises money for the North London Hospice in Woodside Park, was started in 2004 by Maggie Shea-Stannard after her mother died of brain cancer.
The night made more than £2,000 for the hospice, which cares for people suffering terminal illnesses in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
The events have raised more than £12,000 for the hospice over the last seven years, and prizes at the raffle on May 14 included a long weekend at the Maltese villa of a local businessman.
Ms Shea-Stannard said: “A big thank you to all our other sponsors past and present - you know who you are and without you we cannot continue doing this.”
