AN Enfield entrepreneur is looking forward to kickstarting her business career after she was fired from TV show The Apprentice.

Felicity Jackson, of Winchmore Hill, was kicked off the BBC programme in tonight's episode by business guru Lord Alan Sugar.

But the 24-year-old, who grew up in the north of the borough, is looking forward to getting back to running Surviving Actors, her Enfield-based company that runs networking events for budding actors.

She said: “The show was a really amazing experience and I have learned so much – I've had the time of my life.

“But I'll carry on running my business – although I'm open to any opportunities that come to me as a result of being on the show.”

The former hairdresser was fired from the series by Lord Sugar after failing as project manager for her team in a task where the contestants had to create a profitable beauty salon in a shopping centre.

After hearing her explanation, Lord Sugar told her: “This was a disastrous task and a lot of decisions weren’t really made. For that reason, Felicity – you're fired.”

Miss Jackson said it was disappointing to be kicked off so early in the series but that she wasn't surprised because of the quality of the other contestants.

She said: “What we did wrong was to focus on selling the products rather than the beauty treatments.

“So it wasn't entirely surprising when I got fired.”

The BBC show gets contestants to fight through a series of tasks to win a £250,000 prize fund that will be invested into their own business – with one person sent home each week.

But the entrepreneur gave her own advice for any Enfield residents wanting to start up a business of their own.

She said: “Just go for it – use all the help you can from your friends, family and anyone you know.

“Don't be scared to ask for help – I wouldn't have been able to start my business if it wasn't for help from my family.”
