MEMBERS of an Palmers Green over-50s club completed a sponsored walk earlier this month to raise money for the charity.
Volunteers from the Ruth Winston Centre, in Green Lanes, walked around Broomfield Park's lake to make more than £2,500 in sponsorship money.
Manager Yvonne Quigley said: “The money will go directly back into the centre to cover the running costs of courses and activities.
“We have more than 70 activities a week and this will go a long way to helping us keep these going.
“We had a really great day, the weather was good and the company was great.”
The charity, which has more than 900 members, aims to keep Enfield over-50s active and healthy.
