TWO more officers from Enfield Police's Crime Squad will face misconduct hearings.
The detectives will be brought before the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards accused of seizing a car and misusing it, on May 13 2008.
The misconduct hearing has been scheduled for August 1 where the officers will face allegations of discreditable conduct.
They join five officers from the same Crime Squad, based at Edmonton Police Station, who are accused of using “excessive and disproportionate force” when stopping a car being driven along Meridian Way in Edmonton on June 3, 2008.
Their hearing is due to take place next month, on July 18, while further cases involving the same team of officers are still being considered.
All the allegations stem from an undercover probe launched in may 2008 within the Crime Squad investigating possible handling of stolen property.
In total, 16 officers and one member of police staff were investigated, and a file with handed to the Crown Prosecution Service concerning 15 officers.
The CPS decided at the end of last year there was not enough evidence for any criminal charges, and misconduct proceedings commenced.
Currently, seven Enfield officers remain suspended and three are on restricted duties.
