CELEBRITY gardeners and horticultural experts descended on an Enfield college for day of planting trees and shrubs.
TV stars of the gardening world including Chris Beardshaw came to Capel Manor College for the opening of three new gardens on the estate.
It is now home to 34 outdoor show gardens, including new areas reflecting the history of the college. The gathered guests helped to plant new trees and shrubs in the ground, on Tuesday, June 21, to mark the day.
Steve Dowbiggin OBE, principal designate, said: “This was an exceptional day when we have shown how the horticultural sector, media and a charity like Capel Manor College and Gardens can work together to create something which is really special and gives people the opportunity to change their lives for the better.”
