POLICE have asked for another month to investigate the murder of 15-year-old Negus McClean in Edmonton.
Twelve people arrested on suspicion of murder have been re-bailed until early August as detectives continue to look into the fatal stabbing.
The teenager was murdered on Sunday, April 10, in Westminster Road after being chased along Bounces Road by a gang of teenagers on mountain bikes.
The killing shocked the Edmonton community, and has sparked renewed efforts to drive knife and gun crime out of the community.
No one has yet been charged with the murder, but the case remains open and officers from the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command continue to investigate.
Three 17-year-old boys, five 16-year-old boys, two 14-year-old boys, and two men aged 18 and 20 have been questioned in connection with the murder.
They are all due to report back to police in early August.
