PUPILS from an Enfield school scooped two prizes at the London Young Enterprise finals.
The team from Latymer School presented their innovative idea of wooden earphone holders to tackle the problem of tangled wires, while competing against four other schools from the capital.
Representing north London, the team called Hold Up won a prize for their report and the Daily Telegraph new media award for their efforts.
However, they were pipped to the top prize and the chance to go on to the national finals by a team from Richmond, which invented a pen that dispenses perfume.
The Young Enterprise scheme runs in schools across the country, encouraging young people to try their hand at running a business over the course of a year.
Councillor Kate Anolue, Deputy Mayor of Enfield, attended the London finals on Thursday, June 23, to show support for the Latymer School team.
