POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man died when his car collided with a van in Enfield.

The driver of the BMW was declared dead at the scene in Mollison Avenue after a crash involving a panel van yesterday evening.

Police were called out at around 10pm and launched an investigation into the fatal crash, which happened near the junction with Innova Way.

A post mortem showed the man died from chest injuries. His family have been informed but he has not yet been identified.

Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath have asked for any witnesses to call 0208 597 4874.
