Spurs are considering a shock bid for England striker Andy Carroll, according to the Daily Mail.
With forward options limited, Tottenham have been hunting a new hitman for a while but is Andy Carroll the answer?
The 23-year-old, who is on loan at West Ham, is thought to be valued by Liverpool at £17m although with Brendan Rodgers keen to sell, Carroll could leave for closer to £12m.
Official regulations state a player can only play official matches for two clubs from July to June so unless Spurs were able to find a loophole, the club would have to wait until the summer to make a move.
Should Spurs sign Andy Carroll?
