London Skolars recorded their first Kingstone Press Championship One victory in six matches as they beat Oxford 52-28 on Sunday.
The Skolars' last win came at Hemel Stags on April 18 and five successive defeats have followed since that triumph.
Victory means the Skolars leapfrog Oxford into seventh place by virtue of their marginally better points difference.
A hat-trick of tries from Denny Solomana did the damage for the Skolars, who were imperious in the final 20 minutes at Jackdaw Lane.
Mike Bishay opened the scoring for the Skolars but a try from Alex Thompson was converted by Tommy Connick to put hosts Oxford in front.
Dave Williams replied for the Skolars and Courtney Davies added the extras before James Duckworth touched down in the corner.
Oxford's Connick then scored and converted his own try to put bring the hosts within two points of the Skolars, who led 14-12.
The visitors extended their lead when Solomana got his first before Davies added a penalty from 38m to put the Londoners 22-12 up at the break.
Sam Blaney and Bishay both scored in quick succession after half-time to strengthen the Skolars' advantage.
Sean Morris outpaced the Skolars' defence and a successful conversion made it 24-28 before Jack Briggs levelled with another try, capitalising on a Skolars' knock-on.
From there, the pendulum swung back in the Skolars' favour as Solomana twice crossed the line, with Lamount Bryan and Williams further extending the visitors' lead to round off a comfortable victory.
