ADELAIDE maintained the pressure on their rivals as they moved to within five points of top spot after a win against Watton at Stone.
The Hertfordshire side batted first and scored 221-5 off their 53 overs while high scores from wicket keeper Craig Lyet (72), Richard Ellwood (55), Liam Kenna (41) and Martyn Chandler (39) helped the visitors to victory with 222-8.
With rivals Northampton Exiles only managing a draw against Hertford, the Adders moved into second place to keep their promotion dream alive.
The Southgate-based Adders second eleven were also victorious against local rivals Old Cholemeians on Saturday.
The visitors from Highgate batted first on a good Walker Ground wicket and amassed a total of 144.
In response, Chris Irish (45) and Neil Watts (39) helped Adelaide's second string to 148, winning the game by eight wickets off just 30 overs.
Adelaide's third eleven were not so lucky scraping to a draw against Watton at Stone.
The home team batted first scoring 222-6 off 40 overs while the Adders battled to 131-9 in reply with Brendan McDermott (35) the visitor's top scorer.
