ENFIELD’s male and female hockey players will compete in the final 12 of the London Youth Games' hockey competition after making it through the qualifying rounds.
The girls qualified from their group alongside Ealing and Richmond, while the boys were undefeated and emerged from their group together with Havering, Richmond and Tower Hamlets.
The teams were drawn from a range of schools in the borough, including Southgate School and Kingsmead School. Enfield boys captain Ben Brescott commented: “It was a pleasure to play in this team. The boys were fantastic and we played good hockey. We are looking forward to coming back for the finals at Crystal Palace.”
The finals take place at Crystal Palace on July 4.
