ADELAIDE stormed to the top Herts Division Four despite losing by one run.
Chipperfield Clarendon batted first and despite Barbadian off spinner Dee Alleyne's (5-52) best efforts they racked up a total of 219.
Dan Fitzpatrick (50), Liam Farrell, and Brian Cohen all helped Adelaide to attempt meet the visitor's target but it was a run out with the Southgate-sde needing two to win that left them falling short.
However, despite losing Adelaide took maximum points meaning they proudly sit top of the league.
The club's seconds were also victorious with a nine wicket win away at London Colney.
Neil Watts and Martin Flack restricted the hosts to 157 and Brett Irwin and Dan Whiting stormed to a 150 partnership with the bat to help Adelaide to victory.
Adeliade's third team completed a great week for the club trouncing North Mymms with the help of Tim Grover.
Grover (6-41) bamboozled opposition batsmen with the ball helping to keep the score to 138 while with the bat his 71 not out helped sweep the Southgate side to victory.
