NORTHAMPTON Exiles extended their lead at the top of the Saracens Herts Cricket League with a six wicket win against Hoddersdon.
Exiles proved lethalth the ball, with Haroon Akhtar (3-29) in deddevastatingrm keeping Hoddersdon's 2nd XI's total to 116.
David Taylor (45), Paul Frost (26), and Rizwan Badar (15) helped Exiles to 117 with six wickets to spare.
The Exiles 2nd XI were also successful overcoming Leverstock Green by a haul of 32 runs to keep their promotion hopes from Division Nine alive.
Bernie Bower (42) helped Exiles to 118-9 but it was the bowling attack of the Winchmore Hill side which reduced their opponents total to 86.
Anil Mistry (3-15), Nathan Knox (2-20), Corin Hosier (3-18), and Kasim Shamim (2-19) helped keep the score down.
However, the Exiles 3rd XI were not so lucky slumping to a three wicket defeat against Cheshunt in the final over of their Division 11 game.
Dharmesh Patel (60) performed well with the bat but a middle order collapse meant the Exiles succumbed to 146-9.
Cheshunt squeezed home with one over left reaching 147-7, despite the efforts of Patel (3-34) and Abdul Arif (1-13).
