A busy summer awaits Enfield Town in the coming weeks, with boss Steve Newing braced for a flurry of transfer activity.
But the manager wants to keep the nucleus of his team intact, after suffering play-off woe this season, in Ryman one north.
“Everyone is indicating to me that they want to come back, but I know these things can be misleading,” Newing told Enfield Independent sport.
“I know four or five of my players will get approached. I just have to hope lads see the potential of the club.
“Stuart Blackburne (striker) has indicated to me he wants to return,” he revealed.
That is good news for fans because Blackburne is a potent goal threat when fit.
Discussions are also slated in for Newing with Sam Byfield and Ben Hammond.
“I will only be looking to add two or three players to the squad,” added Newing. “I would be very happy with what I had these season.“
