DAVE HINNIGAN'S half century was not enough to stop Edmonton Cricket Club losing by three wickets to Wycombe House.
Edmonton made a strong start and reached 60 before the loss of their first wicket in their Middlesex Division One clash on Saturday.
Opener Hinnigan top-scored with 56 from 109 deliveries before he was dismissed, to leave Edmonton on 93 for five.
Hussein Shabbir (36) and Adam Herron (24) helped keep the score ticking over but the visitors finished on 187 for nine from 55 overs.
The Edmonton attack started reasonably well as they restricted their opponents to 31 for three but an unbeaten knock of 111 from 119 balls by Wycombe’s Jangra ensured the home side reached the required total for the loss of seven wickets.
Ciaran Dodds was the pick of the Edmonton bowlers as he took four wickets for 51 runs from his 12 overs. Wali Khan also finished with three wickets from his 15.4 overs, for the loss of 93 runs.
