Saracens captain Steve Borthwick has agreed a new contract with the Premiership champions.

The former England skipper led Sarries to their first title last season and has committed his future to the Men in Black.

Borthwick said: "People talk about Saracens as a special club, and they are right in many ways.

"There is a fantastic group of people at Saracens who work incredibly hard for each other to continue to build this great club.

"We have a long way to go in many respects, and I’m looking forward to the journey.”

Scotland international Kelly Brown has also agreed an extended contract. The back row forward will miss the start of Sarries' season because he is playing in the World Cup which starts next week.

Scrum half Neil de Kock has also agreed a new deal with the club. The South African has spent five years at Vicarage Road.
