Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping to secure his side's first home victory of the season against QPR.
Spurs have enjoyed an up-turn in form of late after seeing off Reading last weekend in the league before suffering the misfortune of having two goals disallowed in a 0-0 draw with Lazio.
Villas-Boas will be without Younes Kaboul, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Scott Parker while Ade Adebayor and Kyle Naughton face late fitness tests.
Brad Friedel is expected to keep his place in goal despite an assured performance by Hugo Lloris in midweek. Clint Dempsey could also make his first start.
Andy Johnson, Anton Ferdinand and Fabio are all missing for QPR.
